Both dancers in a partnership must be eligible to dance at the same level. Each couple may dance in the level appropriate for their skill level and one higher level within the same dance style.
Suede-soled dance shoes are required at all times.
High-heeled shoes must have heel protectors.
NEWCOMER
This level reserved for dancers who have been dancing for one year or less and those who have never competed in a ballroom dance competition in the past. Steps will be restricted to the Bronze syllabus. Newcomer-level dancers may also compete in the Bronze level. Costumes are not allowed.

BRONZE
This level is for dancers with some competition experience. Steps will be restricted to the Bronze syllabus figures. Bronze-level dancers may also dance in the Silver level. Costumes are not allowed.
